TFG are our owners for now
- they’ve partly addressed some of our funding issues
- they seem to realise it’s best to try and employ the best CEO & Manager you can and then leave them to do their job
-they will use every accounting trick they can
Pape Sarr is the profile we need to partner Hayden Hackney (if we get it done)/James Garner in midfield.
Tall athletic duel-winner who is very good at carrying the ball up the pitch and can have a knack for crashing the box.
How much would Spurs want? £30-40M 🇸🇳 #EFC
@mfefc1878 Our best performance was arguably Chelsea
KDH got 8 goals & 4 assists in 31 match from “his” position.
Alcaraz started 4 games out of 5 (wasn’t he 10 at Arsenal?) but then got injured
He was involved in 20 games in total - little (positive) impact in the others?
Alcaraz did a lot right last season
This season he’s often looked really poor when called upon.
Moyes has lots of faults, but players need to play their part too
Beto perfect example - got chance in 2nd half of season & grabbed it.
Alcaraz likes to get the ball and play forward’ the manager doesn’t like that. Shame if he leaves I think he can offer us something but it’s another miss managed player who got no chance. Playing in a ridged system and boring negative football.
@GreatestAfrican It was 14 points out of 27
That’s 59 points over a season.
We also missed Ndiaye & KDH (through injury) for the 6 AFCON games
It’s almost as if we didn’t miss key players & Moyes was at his best when forced to use squad players 🤷♂️
What do we do with Idrissa gana Gueye now? 🇸🇳
Contract is expiring at the end of the month, 37 years of age in September and also missed 11 Premier League games (some AFCON then last 4 games). I’d still try to renew him, but for depth only and experience, but I think he leaves.
@GreatestAfrican It was a perfectly good return earlier in the season.
If there’s any discussion it should be why did Moyes play him in the Chelsea & Leeds games.
The last 4 games were a lot more than missing IGG.
Thanks to Thomas Hughes for summarising the results of our Everton fan survey for those amongst us who couldn't be arsed wading through a 40+ page PDF...

@GreatestAfrican It was 6 games during AFCON. Won 2, drew 2, lost 2
8 points from possible 18
The information was there in the post. 🤦♂️
The bad run-in started with him in the team.
Draw with Brentford, losses to Liverpool & West Ham
The frustrating truth for Everton is that Illiman Ndiaye is good enough to play, or at least test himself, at a higher level. Bigger clubs will see that. The positive is that if Anthony Gordon is worth €80m then so is he, and Everton have no need to sell beneath it.
@jcotteri@theesk Everton might be better if we were funded by a PIK loan at Roundhouse Capital level
Instead we have a huge mortgage that the club has to fund.
@CitizenSuburbia There is a lot of truth in what you say . I do worry that any manager we appoint with a reputation to make rather than already earned will be given little time by the fans if things don’t begin well. Fans impatience is an extra burden we carry always now .
If Everton made the bold decision to sell Iliman Ndiaye, the resources would be there to completely reshape the winger options.
Factor in a McNeil sale and passing on a move for Grealish, and there would be very few excuses not to target genuine top end talent
