Weather observations at Bedout Island confirm #CycloneIlsa is indeed Category 5. Amazingly the weather station is holding strong and transmitting data (!) as average wind speeds reach 206 km/h, with gusts as high as 278 km/h. Pressure currently at 936 hPa as the eye passes over.

Whoa! With the eye of #CycloneIlsa now past, Bedout Island now recording even *stronger* winds in the eyewall on the northwestern flank: 10-minute average wind speed now 219 km/h, wind gusts to 289 km/h. 🤯
