@DrChrisWilliams @angus_colin Our ambulance service colleagues are burdened by increased requests for transfer to hospital OOH but they are guaranteed a Doctor on site when they arrive. When demand outstrips available resources, clinically acceptable compromises must be found.

@DrChrisWilliams @angus_colin OOH GP home visiting can be safely limited to palliative care, potential detention under the MHA and sudden deaths if required by local police / forensic service agreements- we apply this to protect our ability to provide physician led care in the Community Hospital A&E. 1/2

We all know the lengths that have been gone to by everyone from the grassroots to public health to national government to combat this public misapprehension...

I absolutely agree with the sentiment and would strongly encourage GPs with interest in broad generalist care to apply- try to see through the painful use of CAPITALS and completely inappropriate accompanying picture!

We need a contract that will enable us to deliver effective rural healthcare - and realistic contingencies to make services sustainable.
