🌍 Neglecting obesity in the 2025 NCD agenda will leave one billion people behind.
Our latest BMJ Opinion sounds the alarm: obesity is a chronic, complex disease - and a major driver of other NCDs - yet remains marginal in the draft UN High-Level Meeting Political Declaration.
This is our chance to change course. Governments must:
✅ Recognise obesity as a disease
✅ Implement WHO recommendations to improve food environments
✅ Integrate prevention and treatment into primary care
We have #4BillionReasons to act. The cost of inaction is too high.
