It was a great pleasure to launch @DrBenMacpherson's superb book 'Cultural Identity in British Musical Theatre, 1890-1939' this afternoon at #TaPRA2018!
We're in the top 20 for student satisfaction in the UK! What's more, 97.5% of our graduates are in employment or further study 6 months after graduating, AND we're rated Gold for teaching excellence!

I'm not one to make a song and dance out of things... But BA (Hons) Musical Theatre @portsmouthuni scored 100% Overall Satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2018!! #NSS@UniPortCCI
@GdnHigherEd How can one VC at one University speak for the hundreds of lecturers around the country who have spent hours interviewing students personally, against set criteria, and made informed expert judgments about whether or not to make an offer?
Really looking forward to the publication later this year of @HelenNicholson2, Nadine Holdsworth & Jane Milling's co-authored book! The first major study of amateur theatre, offering new perspectives on its place in the cultural and social life of communities. #AmateurTheatre
In a Wetherspoons in Canterbury. Two guys are discussing the many combinations of what best constitutes a full English breakfast. The expertise is incredible... but it is 6pm and now all I want is hash browns, bacon, sausage, beans and a fried slice.
Quite surprised very little was done to acknowledge yesterday's 25th anniversary of 'Sunset Boulevard' opening at the Adelphi. Arguably, Lloyd Webber's finest work. #SunsetBoulevard
@Mantia That just because our students are home for the summer doesn't mean we are any less busy or are lazy slackers for a few months. Often as misunderstood by own institutions as much as by the general public!
Farewell to Dame Gillian Lynne, a true pioneer of British musical theatre. Her legacy lives on in the countless hearts she touched, the stages where she inspired so many, and the theatre that carries her name.
Dear students,
If you choose your university or degree on the basis of a Moneysupermarket-style comparison site, it will be the worst decision of your life.
Yrs seriously,
People who actually care about the quality of degrees, and the experience of students studying for them. https://t.co/WLSNkrAXCp
@McRaeAndrew@DavidjHendy An interesting piece from the Guardian: Value for money? What a grim, cold way to talk about universities https://t.co/Y6Z3FQGUxe
