Launching our very first Silent Book Club this Thursday 17th from 7pm at the Tea Bar. πFind us opposite Sports Direct in Coleraine. Bring yourself and a book, no charge to attend, till will still be open for drinks & treats. Going to be a monthly occurrence, every 3rd Thursday.
Massively important to also acknowledge translators and translation theory in Kang's work after the controversy Deborah Smith endured for The Vegetarian.
That being said, Kang won the Nobel on her merit as a storyteller. A simply stunning writer who more than deserves the prize.

@JennyMitchellGo My aunt bought me the Macmillan Treasury of Poetry for Children. I still have it 3 decades later, spine broken, pages faded from turning. I know every poem in there, some of them off by heart.
