@JonathanShedler Those of us in the game know this. @TheLancet is probably the weakest journal though (autism scam). There’s far better, ethical and more robust publishers these days.
@ms1hearsthings@jefffinethomas This is such an important angle, same as addiction, trauma etc, we have to tread carefully. At times ‘being with’ can be problematic?
@JDaviesPhD Many many patients do not get better from long term from therapy. It’s delusional and grandiose to think therapists can solve all issues. It can help but in about 60% of patients. Perhaps your own private practice heals all? From my experience (NHS) this is not the case.
@BACP I doubt NHS England will move this on until there is some robust levels of recognition of training from level 3 to doctoral. It’s an ambiguous mess with preliminary trained counsellors claiming to be psychotherapists. Too much infighting disrupts any development. Always has.
@robertemeryx@BarbaraRich_law Yes, it’s complex, in the UK we have extortionate ‘care home’ fees masquerading as ‘charities’ whilst parading the patients on Facebook. The other side of the argument is open to abuse!
