In my short sojourn on this earth, and in the scripture, I’ve come to conclude that missionary sending is often in SHAME, and almost always in WEAKNESS.

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

One of the challenges we now face in certain charismatic spaces is that the prophetic has become an all-consuming framework. Everything, from subjective impressions to political opinions, is being cast as “prophetic.”

This isn’t just a problem of terminology; it reflects a deeper misunderstanding of how revelation works. Revelation is not always immediate or spectacular. It operates along a continuum, rooted in Scripture, expressed through the Church, discerned in community, and guided by the Spirit.

When everything becomes prophecy, we lose the gravity of prophetic speech, and more importantly, we forget the normal, faithful, quiet ways the Holy Spirit leads God’s people: through wisdom, formation, counsel, and peace.

This isn’t a call to silence prophetic ministry, it’s a call to recover its proper place, so that we might hear God clearly again.

Surrendering pride, not responsibility
Holding onto boldness-BUT anchoring it in God, not in systems
