Our educators and children have a high need for schools to be fully funded this spring. Believe it or not, that is not a given. I hope you will read my latest blog to the end and take action by sharing the heroic work you have done to get kids in school this year.
Public education is not only required in the Texas Constitution to protect our liberties, but it also brings people together, which is especially important during divisive times like these. Regardless of one's politics, religion, race, ability or income, #txed serves EVERYONE.
Everyone wants property tax relief. But we also want significant increased funding to #txed schools that is sustainable, predictable, and flexible enough to allow for an uncertain economic future. It should allow local innovation, better pay, and fewer state mandates.
Congratulations to my grandson JJ Ramm for winning the UIL District Championship in Eighth Grade Science. This is the second year for him to win the District Championship in Science. I am very proud of you.
