Today, I passed a bill creating the Gulf Coast Protection District - the next BIG step in obtaining federal funding to build the Coastal Barrier/ Ike Dike. Like the Galveston Seawall, this project will protect our citizens and economy for generations to come. #BuildtheIkeDike
