I'm really grateful for the opportunity to join the Board of Trustees of IOM3. Beyond the important work of governance, it's an exciting time for the mining sector. I'm looking forward to working with the institute and trustees on helping to address the challenges we face.

If you are a college student who likes to nod intently at your professors while they're talking in class, just know that all of them adore you and think you are the absolute greatest
What is sad about today's @ucu strike is how many colleagues have told me that they're using it as an R&R day so that they don't break before the end of term. Using unpaid strike days to ready ourselves to return to crushing workloads. #ucuRISING

This is just a disgrace. The energy transition to tackle the climate crisis requires an enormous amount of critical raw materials. Society requires more and better mining and metallurgical professionals, not less.
@barrywills They say that this is "in line with our commitment to sustainability and addressing the climate crisis" - but how do we address the climate crisis without involving the mining sector...?
