@DrJoLynneW Please read the Bible and stop reading stuff like this. It’s a terrible distraction from the unbelievable gift Christ offers—forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Do you want earthly riches or do you want heavenly ones? Check your motivation.

@EThanks18@DrJoLynneW And the promise isn’t that you’ll get what you ask for. The promise is that “the peace of God that passes all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.” So Dr. W. promises something the Bible doesn’t. Jesus offers His peace, not His wallet. Rest in Him.
@EThanks18@DrJoLynneW In Philippians, Paul tells his readers not to be anxious about anything. Oh, gee, thanks Paul; they might say. But he doesn’t stop there.
He says, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything with prayer and asking and thanking, tell God what you need.
More coming…
In Acts 4 and 5, Peter states plainly that we must obey God rather than men. In I Peter 2 he writes that we are to submit to authority. In other words, tell people about Jesus even where it’s illegal, but also be willing to accept the consequences.
@coybarker If you read Ephesians chapter 3, you may find this is not what we’re expected believe. Respectfully, the riches are: power through the Holy Spirit, Christ dwelling in our hearts, understanding of the breadth of Jesus’s love, and to be filled with God. It’s not about money.
@DrJoLynneW “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” —Jesus, John 16:33
In Jesus we find our peace, not in vague internet prophecies of prosperity.
Jesus doesn’t hate anyone. He hates sin. Sin always causes His loved ones harm. Sin always leads to death. Jesus is the author of life, and He wants you to have life forever. He offers Himself as our sustenance. How could we possibly ask for more? #hope#despair#rich#poor
@DrJoLynneW The truth is, Dr. Whittaker, that persecution is coming. Please encourage your followers that any “blessing or increase” they receive should be used to bless someone else. Christians will soon need to follow the example of the book of Acts and share with other believers.
It’s too important to ignore—Jesus loves you, He died for you, and all you have to do is believe He did it and tell someone you believe. That’s it. It doesn’t take a credit card number or and email address. It just takes believing and saying so. #hope#despair#heaven#hell
