@PeretzLange Strong agree. Also, the number of times I've caught typos and errors that never would have been caught with a reference management tool makes we wanna hand compile forever and ever and ever
@willjharrison @Lincoln81@lakens@sharoz To understand it intuitively, we play a game. I give them the mean. There are five #'s in the set. I reveal the numbers one at a time. After each reveal, I invite them to guess the remaining #'s. They can't - until they hit n-1. Then, they "know" the last # w/o seeing it.
@sylviapperry I am able to auto-forward from Outlook to Gmail, but all my replies come from Gmail. Definitely not as nice as before, but at least I don't have to look at an Outlook inbox!
Can Santa get COVID? Spread COVID? Should he wear a mask?
In a new Dev Psych paper with @DrJessSullivan & @simultagnosia, we find children believe fictional beings are susceptible to COVID if they have a body but are confused about why bodies matter.

@FrancescaErnst This situation is brutal, and whether or not people are writing about it, the reality is that most parents I know aren't aware until they *need* medicine. We have a local facebook group with over 1000 members just to keep track of where you can get it.
@levels_of I know this is very much not the point, but if you have a top-loading washing machine, having all the clothes end up in it (not just a few socks in the corner) means you're loading it wrong. Load clothes in a donut shape (empty space in middle of washer). Voila!
@James__Dunlea@samabramspsych Ditto for relationship/marital status. Even putting non-monogamy aside, these are so weird. Why is "divorced" a scale item along with "single" and some version of "in a relationship" if you can't pick more than one?!?
