Sir, with due respect, profit is not a dirty word just because it is earned by a hospital.
You should be asking why A 5-star hotel charges ₹500–700 for a coffee and ₹20,000–50,000 for a room because you’re paying for far more than coffee or a bed.
I don't see you shutting them down
Then why do we pretend healthcare infrastructure should somehow operate for free?
Patients entering corporate hospitals expect the best doctors, trained nurses available immediately, 24×7 emergency care, ICUs, expensive equipment, infection control, private rooms and premium infrastructure.
Who pays for all of this?
India doesn’t have universal healthcare. Private hospitals aren’t endlessly subsidised by the government. Yet we expect them to invest hundreds of crores, pay thousands of employees, maintain expensive infrastructure—and then apologise for making a profit.
If a hospital cheats patients, overcharges deceptively or follows unethical practices, investigate it and punish it brutally.
But stop confusing profitability with profiteering.
A profitable hospital isn’t automatically an unethical hospital.
If we demonise every hospital that makes money, don’t be surprised when nobody wants to invest in building good hospitals.
DCM Pawan Kalyan was visibily impressed by an employee who had all answers for the questions on Godavari River cleaning.
This is how elected should interact with govt officials, some of whom have incredible knowledge and ideas to do good for the state.

Yesterday, DCM Shri @DKShivakumar asked me for my plan of action for Bengaluru. He has asked me for alternate solutions.
In this regard, I have sought time from his office to present ideas on how Bengaluru should address its traffic congestion, among other problems.
I have long advocated for sustainable solutions to fix Bengaluru issues.
As a resident of this city, it’s my responsibility to support good ideas, as much as it’s my duty to oppose bandaid fixes which hardly address the core problem.
Bengaluru needs bipartisan approach towards solving its long pending problems.
He's a senior politician and administrator, who intends to do his best for the city.
I hope this discussion helps us find sustainable solutions and work together to make Bengaluru a more liveable city while addressing its major challenges. I’ll keep you all posted how this meeting goes.
The new city bus terminal, inaugurated on October 4, 2025, is yet to open for public use. According to sources, the delay is due to pending payments to the contractor, who has reportedly not handed over the facility to the authorities until the dues are cleared.
I sincerely thank Hon. @DKShivakumar sir for the timely support.
Also want to thank the concerned authorities for acknowledging that #BBK was not involved or was a part of the recent chaos or disturbances.
I truely appreciate the DCM for promptly responding to my call, and thank #Nalpad, for his dedicated efforts.
#BBK12 is here to stay🔥
