Henry Marsh as long been one of my favourite Neurosurgeon of the modern era. His book ‘Do No Harm’ is a great insight to his passion for neurosurgery, patient care and great humility.

I often all add that we as surgeons merely try to piece things back together. It is God who does the healing and all honour should be to God our father.

Attending the 2026 Society of Neurosurgeons of South Africa (SNSA) Congress has been a truly inspiring experience. The meeting brought together leading local, continental, and international neurosurgeons, providing an exceptional platform for learning, collaboration, and professional growth. The high standard of scientific presentations, thought-provoking discussions, and exposure to innovative surgical techniques reinforced the importance of lifelong learning and evidence-based practice. Beyond expanding my clinical knowledge, the congress renewed my passion for neurosurgery, Many thanks to the University of Pretoria team for putting together such a wonderful event.

@radfugee C7 anterior compression wedge fracture. Also highly suspicious of the posterior ligamentous complex. Looks like there is splaying on the C7 T1 spinous process. Mechanism probably axial loading of the flexed neck. Highly recommend a cervical MRI.
