The protest was not against Pakistan, it can never be; it was mainly against the AJK political parties. Kashmiris are proud of both their Pakistani and Kashmiri identities, and for them, the two are not separate from each other. The protest was about the ongoing situation in Azad Kashmir and focused on demands concerning local rights and grievances. Demanding local rights does not mean opposing the state of Pakistan. This distinction is crucial and must be clearly understood.

The Government of Pakistan is set to reinitiate the Afghan Illegal Immigrant Deportation Scheme with a second phase of the deportation scheme aiming to deport 800,000 illegal aliens.

In the initial scheme of the deportation, from 2023 to 2024, four million Afghans without documentation were deported.

Pakistan aims to have no illegal Afghan living in Pakistan without visa or documentation by 2030.
