"Thief on the Munene Express" is of course a wink at one of my fave writers @agathachristie who gave us, "Murder on the Orient Express".
Many thanks to the talented @Irenestaunton for putting this together and editing me๐. Heaven knows it was like pulling teeth.
The story is about a young man who got his mobile nicked and he had the duration of the bus ride from Mberengwa Centre to Munene Mission to figure out who the thief was and retrieve his phone. Spoiler alert: He recovered it, the many obstacles notwithstanding.

On Saturday I was awarded this by the Council that regulates pharmacy practice in Zimbabwe. To be conferred this sort of award alongside visionaries who have impacted Zimbabwe's health system, whose careers began while I was in diapers, or before I was born, was truly an honour.
Starting your #QuitJourneyZW? You're not alone! This aligns with Zim's drive for a #DrugFreeZimbabwe. Day 1 is the bravest step. What's your motivation? Share it! ๐ #QuitForZim

#MbareGrills
I am still waiting to get the chance to try out Mbare Grills. I remember way back in the 90s we used to go for sadza kuMbare with the boys I worked with. It was so good and so popular we always had to queue.
I hope that there will be a Mbare Grills shuttle ''from the usual pick up points'' for those locals and tourists seeking this experience. Maybe ka Police escort too , so that we can do the round trip back to our work places within the lunch hour or just fit an hour into our work day for this.

this is a quick note of praise for Ms Pamela who works the front desk. I needed an important document urgently printed this afternoon and she really went out of her way to get it done for me in minutes. #HelpfulHospitality

Today, team B from the Parliament of Zimbabwe conducted an impactful educational outreach program in Mt Darwin, educating students about Parliament's role and functions. The initiative seeks to foster a deeper understanding of the legislative process and civic engagement among the youth.
The team visited five schools in the area, including Darwin Primary School, Darwin High School, Chitekedza Barracks High School, Nyamwinyu Primary School, and Ruya High School. A total of 6,475 students benefited from the program, gaining valuable insights into the parliamentary system, law-making, and the importance of citizen participation through interactive sessions.
A highlight of the program was the vote of thanks delivered by the head girl of Ruya High School, who expressed gratitude to the Parliament of Zimbabwe for the insightful program. She noted that the initiative empowered the next generation with knowledge and civic awareness, inspiring them to become active participants in the country's development.
In October '24 our ten year old was so ill & weak he was projected to die within weeks. He's got heart disease, liver disease and a scar from a removed tumor that might have been cancer, but this is him today reacting to the garbage truck!
I think the observation that reports that discuss brilliant research tend to be well-written in readable language is because when an author is clear about their argument, & persuaded of its soundness and importance, they're anxious to have their audience understand it.
