31 years ago, on us, darkness fell. But from the ashes, we rose and chose light. We remember the Genocide against the Tutsi. We honor the resilience. We stand together. Kwibuka means to remember, but it also means to Learn. To Heal. To Rebuild. #Kwibuka31

Today marks 30 years since RTLM began broadcasting across Rwanda. An important date in the genocide timeline…

[Janvier POPOTE @JanvierPopote]

These are principal donors who helped establish the venomous Radio Télévision Libre des Mille Collines (RTLM) that mobilized Hutus to kill their Tutsi neighbors before and during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Asked to jam the radio, the United States refused saying that decision would endanger democracy in Rwanda. Me, I call it demo-crazy. #Kwibuka29

Just seen a copy of our European Fascist Movements for the 1st time. It may have been delivered to our recycling bin, but I think there’s still a bit of life left in the book! Here’s the contents should anyone be teaching anything on #fascism next year.
