Tomorrow, the Celts and Bucks square off in the NBA Championship. After that, the winner will perform in two "encore rounds." Their first encore will be to defeat the Miami Heat, and their second encore will be to defeat whichever inferior team comes out of the west.
If Sarah Palin were to start campaigning now, and then got elected to the House of Representatives, her term would not end for 2.5 years. This strikes me as an awful long time for Sarah Palin.
I still don't think it's fair to accuse the ex-president of purposely refusing to protect the capital from the insurrection.
In his defense, I think he was simply a weak Commander-in-Chief who was dwarfed by the moment, and far too panicked to do his job.
If the big kids at the main office has simply put the vaccine into two packages, with one called the "Trump Vaccine" and the other called the "Biden Vaccine," we'd have all run to prove that our vaccine was the only true vaccine. We'd all be vaccinated.
@BrianEgolf@UNM@UNMLOBOS@EddieNunezAD@UNMLoboMBB@nmhighered I can't believe you haven't read the responses and posted an "I'm-sorry-my-bad" tweet. Or an "I'm-sorry-I-embarrassed-New-Mexico" tweet. Or an "I-apologize-to-women's-basketball-players" tweet. Or a "turns-out-I'm-a-bozo" tweet. Or....
@BrianEgolf@UNM@UNMLOBOS@EddieNunezAD@UNMLoboMBB@nmhighered There is a history of equal BB pricing at UNM, and a public history of when and why that changed. Color me an embarrassed Democrat, stuck with a Speaker too lazy to learn before tweeting.
In Atlanta, a World Series fan in Section 16C did the Tomahawk Chant, but with the irony of a language scholar. The fan knew which tribe the chant sort of originated from, knew how badly it was butchered, and chanted anyway, also knowing that the chant would cause a base hit.
I'm watching the World Series, and I can see that a fan in Section 17B is doing the Tomahawk Chant without any regard for its connection to Native American history.
A little surprised that horse medication doesn't immediately eradicate a flu-based virus. It seems so much more sensible than getting a vaccine and standing three feet away from each other.
Nineteen states have reported vaccine data along with Covid case and death data. In those 19 states, about 120,000 people have died from Covid in 2021. About 700 of those people were vaccinated, and about 119,300 were not.
@tykattenhorn@ABQJournal The end of the article lists things we can do at home. I would add that using the television's option to turn on the captions is easy, effective, and challenges parents to prove how much they care. (Some parents would rather see the whole screen than sacrifice for reading.)
