"Information is a Determinant of Health" - @KBDeSalvo | @GoogleHealth
Last week I was featured as part of Google’s Health Event: #TheCheckup 2023 which was live-streamed from #NYC, along with Dr Ana Escobar 🇧🇷 and Ali Mattu, Ph.D.🇺🇸 to highlight the work of health content creators on #YouTube.
The health creator community on @YouTube is growing and there are so many fellow healthcare professionals who are working hard, creating engaging, educational content.
💪💪🏻💪🏼💪🏽💪🏾💪🏿
I want to highlight some of them in this video. Many are juggling full-time jobs, young children and other personal and family commitments whilst providing their time, knowledge and expertise to their viewers.
Special thanks to Dr. Vishaal Virani for his work with the YouTube Health Creator Community in the UK and also to team Youtube UK - @DrSusanThomas, Alison Lomax, Roya Zeitoune, Richard Lewis

Meet @DrSimi_A 👋, the third and final creator of our @YouTube Creator Spotlight series.
Dr. Simi creates fun and relatable content to educate on skin health and women’s health.
We hope her story inspires more HCPs to become YouTube creators! ▶️🔴 https://t.co/AafsVF2Tet
What an absolute delight to share the stage at #NHSConfedExpo 2023 with the incredible @KBDeSalvo and two inspiring content creators @Mrcolitiscrohns & @CosmicKidsYoga.
We explored patient empowerment in the NHS and the essential role of health content in providing credible information to support the patient health journey.
Huge thanks to @DrSusanThomas & Dr Vishaal Virani and their teams for making this unforgettable experience happen!
#Barbie a regular guest in my health content, also got a special mention on stage! 😊

@DrSimi_A @KBDeSalvo @GoogleHealth Simi - I absolutely loved your segment in the Check Up (and fabulous to have the UK represented as well!). The work you do is so important - and we’re lucky to have you collaborating with us 👏❤️@GoogleHealth
If you've ever had a Vaginal Yeast Infection, you may have used this method... I call it "The #ThrushDance - wriggling whilst sitting, to cause rubbing of clothing or underwear against the vulva in order to discretely scratch a vulval itch" Yes I said it! 😂 New Video Is Up.
We are not born ashamed of our bodies. It's something we learn so we can UN-LEARN it! This shame can be harmful to our self esteem, our confidence and even our health. 📢
