That stray dog at your gate isn't there by accident.
Maybe it's your chance to be a better human.
In Indian traditions, feeding a stray dog is considered an offering to Bhairava.
Whether you believe in karma or simply in kindness, the act remains the same, a hungry soul gets fed.
Don't miss the opportunity to choose compassion!

In #DelhiHouses today, @cultureanica writes about Delhi villages, growing up in Holambi Khurd & how “a city’s history does not reside only in monuments or master plans. It persists in neighbourhoods and in the passed-down way of living of people.”

In 1967–68, sociologist Madhu Mishra studied the Jat village of Jatpura in Muzaffarnagar district, Western Uttar Pradesh. Jatpura was a multi-caste village in which the Jats were the dominant and principal cultivating community. Mishra found that the Jats occupied the central position in the village economy They owned 84.6% of all village land making them the principal jajmans (patrons/service-receivers) in the traditional jajmani system.
The remaining occupational groups functioned as kamins (service providers), each maintaining customary hereditary relationships with Jat households. Brahmins performed religious duties at marriages, shraddhas and other rituals etc. Nais (barbers) provided regular grooming services and assisted in life-cycle ceremonies. Kumhars (potters), Badhis (carpenters), Bhangis (sweepers), and other occupational communities similarly rendered specialized services to their Jat jajmans in return for customary payments and patronage.
The research illustrated how, even in the late 1960s, the Jajmani system in Western Uttar Pradesh revolved around Jat landowners and cultivation.
