Forensic Medicine is 8 questions in NEET PG. That's 32 marks from a subject most people revise the night before.
Five years of papers, same terrain:

Toxicology carries the paper. Organophosphates, aluminium phosphide, arsenic, lead, dhatura, snake venom. Poison–antidote pairing is the single most repeated question type.

Asphyxia. Hanging vs strangulation, ligature mark direction, Tardieu spots, diatom test.

Postmortem changes. Rigor timing, adipocere, mummification, estimating time since death.

Identification. Ossification centres, teeth eruption, Gustafson's method, fingerprint patterns.

Wounds and firearms. Entry vs exit, blackening, tattooing, range of fire.

Infanticide and sexual offences. Hydrostatic test, signs of live birth, examination findings.

The subject is small. Most people lose marks treating it as optional.

In April 2026 they came off Category 2, a restriction list, after their nominations were withdrawn. Not onto Category 1. PCAC reviewed them in July; that committee only advises.
Coming off a prohibition list is not approval. It's limbo.

Knox's students recognised two of the bodies on his dissecting table. One was a woman they knew, one was a man the whole city knew by sight. Sixteen people were killed to supply that room. Nobody asked a question, and Knox was never prosecuted.
