"Determined to maintain their individual transportation independence, they are using Tesla’s hands-free FSD system as a driver assist. Though by no means exclusive to seniors in its ability to add another set of eyes to the road, FSD helps elderly drivers maintain a cocoon around their car as their confidence in reflexes and eyesight naturally deteriorate.

92-year-old Leonard Kraus uses Tesla FSD (Supervised) for 87% of his miles. He recommended Tesla FSD to his 95-year-old brother-in-law. “I don't think I would be driving without it.”

“It's as good a driver as I am,” said Dick Amacher, 78, a retired General Motors engineer from Rochester Hills who drives his Model Y and Model 3 on FSD 98% of the time. “Here's the thing, it will not go through a red light. It will not go through a stop sign. Every once in a while, I've driven through neighborhoods where stop signs were partially obscured by low hanging branches, for example. . . and (the Tesla) sees them before I do.”

Driving into Detroit, FSD exited the expressway near Wayne State. “All of a sudden the Tesla pulls over to the curb. I'm like: ‘what is going on?’” said the 78-year old. “Turns out there was an emergency vehicle coming from behind. FSD saw that it was an emergency vehicle before I did. It has vision in every direction simultaneously. A human being cannot replicate that.”

Elon Musk was called a racist on camera by the editor-in-chief of The Economist.

An accusation that serious should have come with proof. Hers came from no one.

Zanny Minton Beddoes: “People say that you’re a racist.”

People say.

No evidence. No incident. No source. No name.

“People say” removes the journalist’s fingerprints from the accusation. Nothing to verify. No one to hold accountable.

A label laundered through a question so it can never be traced back to a fact.

Musk: “My partner is half Indian. I have four children with her. One of them was named after a famous Indian physicist. If you look at the people employed at my companies, we have senior executives of all races.”

The accusation cost nothing to make. The defense required a man to put his own family on the table.

Then she moved on. No pause. Not one word of his answer made it into the next question.

Beddoes: “Are you anti-Muslim?”

The first accusation was still on the ground. The next was already in the air.

Musk: “I’m against people coming to a country with antithetical views. I’m against rape and murder. I’m against the imposition of rules and laws that are contrary to what we’ve come to accept in the West.”

He answered with positions no functioning society disputes. The only way to make them sound like bigotry was to attach a religion to the people he was describing.

That isn’t journalism. It’s a trap where the question does the accusing and the answer does the rest.

Musk: “I think it’s a crying shame that the traditional media, like you, don’t recognize this.”

To her face. To the editor-in-chief of one of the most powerful publications on Earth.

When a man has to prove he isn’t a racist by naming his own children, then defend himself for opposing rape and murder, the labels have stopped describing the world. They’ve started building one.

The accusation was never meant to be true. It was meant to be answered.

Because the moment you’re defending yourself against a label, the label has already done its work. And when no answer can acquit you, you were never being accused. You were being sentenced.

The presumption of innocence was never a description of how people think. It was a wall built against it. Four centuries putting it up. A decade taking it down.

Musk didn’t accept the frame. He answered with facts and let the accusations collapse on contact, then told the person holding the microphone that she was the problem.

The weapon only works on people who flinch. He didn’t.

And the accusation that came from no one finally had a name on it. Hers.

@wholemars Especially when pedestrians wave to say thank you for letting them cross. I usually say out my window, Thank Tesla, or I show my hands and point to the car. Most people smile and have a look of Wow on their faces. The take rate says it all. It will continue to grow.

@wholemars My 2023 MYP just got V14 Lite. It is significantly better then 12.6.4, although still some quirks.
Teslas I believe are still comparable to being the "iPhone" of cars. People are catching on. When driving around the city, I try to show others FSD whenever possible....

This is adding up all the fiber lines that cross borders/oceans

At 1 Tbps per V3 sat, and 60 sats per Starship launch

Tesla FSD-

💯 I am no longer a Paramedic in the field, but was for years, now in tech using my background in software development, EMS and aviation. Humans are the cause of injuries and fatalities on our roadways. I now have 19,000+,miles on FSD and I can with 100% confidence state that if every vehicle in the US/ world was using FSD there would be ZERO injuries or fatalities on the roadways.

I remember during Covid when all the bars and restaurants were locked down we would sit an entire 24 hours shift, sometimes multiple shifts and not have one vehicle accident. I attributed it to less humans on the roadways doing stupid things like DUI, texting and driving, reckless driving, etc. All things FSD would eliminate.
