Worked on this model during stream today! πβ¨
I think sheβll end up being about 10-15 procreate files, Iβve added a lot of glitter and dynamic lighting π«

Normally, riggers try to avoid physics parameters hitting their limits during motion to prevent a jolting feel, but this characteristic can also be used intentionally to create movements that fit a retro electronic aesthetic. I also used blendshapes to control the visible range of different effects.
Overall, this effect would be much easier to achieve with keyframe animation, but animation would never stop.
What I found fun about rigging this part was actually achieving it through physics-driven behavior.

If you add your Angle X group as a positional output to your Tracking Z group...
And your Angle Z group as a positional output to your Tracking X group...
You get: A wiggly tanuki! π¦β [#Live2D WIP]
I love using augmented angles in Live2D by feeding my head and body movements into eachother's physics groups like one big ouroboros (β γβ Οβ γβ )
I haven't refined the art mesh or added physics yet, so this is just a "sketch" of the body movement! π
I forgot that the new algorithm doesn't like it if you don't post daily, so I dug up some of my favourite portraits π€
My Live2D waitlist will be full, so I won't have a chance to draw more of these for a while... But I'm feeling sentimental about them π
I made my child a sitting toggle, without using any additional art pieces! β€π¦
Since the body movement was not rigged using blendshapes, I rigged oppositional body movements using blendshapes and weighted those instead, so when she sits her movement is limited (. β α΄ β.)
