@edelman_olivia Ironically enough, companies such as VictoryXR are actually doing this. This company already hosts real and cheap college classes through VR, and if you look up some of their lessons or tours, you can already see it becoming a real thing more people will look into and attend!
To elaborate, I don't mean games for fun, I mean for educational purposes if that wasn't clear enough. A while back in my drivers ed class, my teacher found some site for car games, and found a certain game which had parallel parking, and had us play before trying it for real.
Incorporating games into a classroom may be a bit of a struggle, or at least you would think so. Personally, I've experienced gaming in the classroom as it was assigned by the teacher, and I think it helped. Be it math, science, music or whatever, a game exists. #EdChat2022
@Big_Mike1102 It really does come down to the individual, but yeah. I find that it's becoming more of a struggle than I'd like as time goes. It also doesn't help that I have project after project being assigned all within the same month now. This new way of "teaching" also just doesn't click.
@ClaraHickman20 I believe that's called Keyword Searching and I agree that unless students can understand this, it really is all for naught if they have an assignment they can hardly research because of this lack of information.

Remember when Active Boards first came out and they came with egg shaped controllers for teachers to have students answer on a multiple choice quiz the entire class participated in all at once? Yea... I think that should make a come back for K-8 at least.

While new technologies are certainly a must, perhaps re-exploring older technologies schools still have their hands on could have a purpose in history classes or the like.
@ClaraHickman20 You aren't wrong, but I feel it is also important to not just tell students what sources to use, but how to distinguish between good and bad sources in general as opposed to giving a set in stone source pool.
@jaeden_workman I had pretty much the same exact idea and agree entirely. Even outside of Adobe, there are plenty of programs that can be used for various means in the classroom.

Perhaps with our rapidly advancing technologies and times, students may be better off than not by learning about editing software. Ex: Adobe Premiere/Photoshop/Audition. Not so much the intricacies of each program, but what you are able to do by utilizing them.
