@StacieJohnsonCD@BritBox_US I felt guilty not liking it but no longer! Austen's Charlotte is happy as Mrs Collins: status, a nice home & a hubby busy in the garden. I felt no passion between Mary & Ryder & had Darcy known of his intentions, he'd be thrown out ASAP. Mrs B has become a cartoon villain too.
So far The Other Bennet Sister is a disappointment (ep 6). No gentleman would make an indecent proposal to a lady while visiting her at Mr Darcy's Pemberley. He'd have plenty of women in Italy to enjoy. Also, doing the dirty on Charlotte Lucas upsets me. Am I alone in this?
#Rivals2 ep 5: Rupert, a puppy is NOT a gift- it's work! Taggie, listen to Shelly & party- 21 never comes again. Maude is the tape thief & nods to #Poldark were brilliant!

Hey @BritBox_US Why am I paying for a streaming service when you're dropping 30 minute episodes of #TheOtherBennetSister weekly? It already aired in its entirety in the UK. This is not a good plan!
@PulpLibrarian The period clothes are fabulous, but Evie has the worst taste in men & both sisters are poor workplace supervisors who always jeopardize their own business!

I recently taught a mini-course on the #Victorians for Stanford Continuing Studies. Not to boast, but one student review said, "The last 5 weeks have been among the most enjoyable of my educational life"-- the Victorians never disappoint!
