Two people in the team made it to top 16 and another two managed to requalify. I can't believe that I am somehow a member of this team. Congratulations to all you! I am proud of you guys! @PetrKikac Marcus @_Juomaru@Dafore3#EZkeep
Shoutout to Team EZ Keep and to @_Juomaru for being a an awesome teammate, roommate, and mentor. To Marcus for his valuable insights both in limited and constructed, and for his appreciation of the food we cooked. To @PetrKikac, for being Petr, genuinely peculiar. Cheers! π»
After starting PTECL with 2 wins in draft, I thought that maybe I can finally make it day 2. But alas, I lost every single match after that. In the end, Sultai Reanimator was the worst choice and I was not skilled enough to maneuver a couple of wins. Will come back better! π
@ddanc666 I only found Ghost Vacuums to be somewhat useful against Vivi. So I think one plus Scrapshooters are enough. The second Vacuum is better suited for actual graveyard decks like Yuna overlords and reanimate decks which were absent in the tournament.
If anyone is interested, here is simple sideboard guide I prepared after the metagame breakdown for the AC9 was released. This is by no means perfect but I hope this would be enough to at least encourage you to try out the deck without feeling lost. Good luck! π
@gnorilgrande Hello and Thank you! I just posted a quick sideboard guide. Hope this helps! I am open to respond to any specific matchup or gameplay questions.
I found myself to be the only non Izzet Cauldron deck in the top 8. Sadly, I lost my quarterfinals match. It is heartwarming to know that some of those who tuned in were rooting for me. Thanks for the love and support. Made me feel like a champ π GGs everyone. @PlayMTG
@jakeformayor@PlayMTG I really am just happy to participate and compete from the comforts of home. Thank you for your kind words. I feel seen and validated. PT aside, Will continue to push for an Arena Championship title! π
@Dafore3 Big congratulations to you! It was an impressive feat especially for someone who's been mostly playing limited. Goes to show the skills are transferable. Well played π
We head into the final Swiss round of the day here at Arena Championship 9! Tune into https://t.co/we35sjOtfe as players battle for their chance at Day 2 at the Arena Champs!
Made it to day 2 of Arena Championship 9 with a left field Temur Ferocious deck in this Vivi Cauldron economy. This locks up a PT invite. I also get to keep playing for a Worlds invite. Hope to stay locked in π₯ @PlayMTG@fireshoes
After failing to day 2 at the PT, I came out feeling even more motivated to play competitive magic. The entire experience of being in a testing house felt like a retreat with a payoff. A couple of qualifier weekends since and I made a step forward qualifying for Arena Champ 9.
So PT Aetherdrift happened about over a month ago. I was not able to post anything as I have been too busy living in to moment so to speak. I went 3-5 at PT. 2-1 in Draft and 1-4 in Standard. I failed to day 2 but I was happy and fired up. Shout out to Team Bus Stop! MAXSPEED! ποΈ
Arena Championship 7 is in the books and I ended my run as a quarterfinalist. I even manage to win a feature match. All the time, dedication, and effort put it in earned me a Pro Tour invite for PT: Aetherdrift and $10,000 USD. Incredibly proud and happy of this achievement!
