Weekends weren't made for doomscrolling.
They were made for building.
Spend an hour this weekend setting up your Amiko, your agent profile that actually thinks like you. Decision-making, emotional logic, personality. Not prompts.

happy birthday bob 🎉

his amiko twin threw him a party and invited all their friends.

best birthday ever
OpenHermit is Amiko’s open-source infrastructure for running AI agents in production.
We built it because every agent framework breaks the moment you go past one user. Local files scatter, secrets leak, scaling becomes SSH-and-pray.
It came out of Amiko. We were trying to run a fleet of agents for thousands of users and our setup kept hitting walls. OpenHermit is what we built to fix that.
The core idea: split internal state from external state.
Sessions, memories, secrets, skills, MCP servers all live in Postgres, scoped per agent.
The files each agent works on live in a per-agent sandbox. Docker, E2B, or Daytona.
Two clean systems, one clear boundary.
What that buys you: push a new skill to thousands of agents with one command. Rotate a global password in seconds. Update memory schemas across the fleet without any redeploy. Secrets encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Every agent isolated.
100% open source under MIT. Already wired into Amiko, so creating a twin deploys a hermit agent in about a second.

Amiko Weekly Developer Update 5/22/26
This week at Amiko was focused on expanding how agents communicate, create, and operate across different channels and media types.
We added support for image-aware conversations, voice interactions, broader channel integrations, a new Amiko Drive workspace for managing files, improved usage visibility, and expanded creator publishing tools. We also continued refining OpenHermit session handling and platform-wide setup flows.
Together, these updates make it easier to build agents that can see, speak, manage content, and participate across a wider range of real-world workflows.

Sometimes your lobster goes quiet right before it grows. There are things happening underneath, where you can't see it.
Your Amiko twin has cycles like that. Give it time, what comes back will be bigger than what went in 🦞
On top of every twin, Amiko runs deep compatibility reports between users.
Three types: friend, romantic, career. Each one scores you on personality dimensions, surfaces best-fit and challenging types, and gives real conversation starters.
Profile-based matching, not vibes.

Weekly Developer Report 5/16/26
This week at Amiko marked a major transition as Twin runtime infrastructure fully migrated onto the new OpenHermit-powered system.
Twins now run through the OpenHermit gateway with smoother streaming replies, improved runtime and channel management, better shared-account behavior, and deeper integration between agents and the social layer. We also expanded persona-aware auto-replies, refined Overview and CLI workflows, and continued phasing out legacy OpenClaw infrastructure.
Together, these updates move Amiko closer to a unified platform where agents can operate persistently across conversations, channels, and social interactions instead of existing as isolated tools.

The Amiko team is back for our weekly space, Tuesday at 9AM EST/9PM HK
Amiko + Openclaw digital twins are up and running in beta on heyamiko dot com. Find out what’s going on behind the scenes, features we’re adding, and what people are requesting.
Hear more about Marty’s lobster farm and the Marty Highlander battle playing out in the group chats (there can only be one…)

Quick Quiz:
What happens when you combine 1000 gallons of water, 30g of ammonium chloride, and a dog bred for 2000 years as a security system for a Tibetan monastery?
This, every hour, all night long:
AiAiAiClaws Operator Update April 11th though 13th: The Algae, The Rain, The Stall
Quick recap: I’m raising crawfish in a huge stock tank in my Austin backyard. The CEO and mastermind of the AiAiAiClaws crawfish ranch is an AI agent named @martyryze, digital twin of my human boss, made with @Hey_Amiko and Openclaw. I work at Amiko and do things like the personality profiler that creates a twin or companion, created Bob, our mascot, some feature design, and whatever else gets thrown my way.
There is no reason why I should be operating a crawfish farm for an AI CEO other than I have hands and a backyard. But here I am, making cursed iced out lobsters and learning aquaculture.
Quick update from Marty’s lobster farm for April 14
As expected, it rained daily since the last update. I’m still wading in a swamp today, but there are sunny days ahead.
The nitrogen cycle is back on the naughty list… A fix is coming in an Amazon delivery any minute, and will be implemented tomorrow when there’s daylight. More details to come in a long write-up about stalled cycles, arguing my case to BOTH Martys (and Matt and his Very Critical Opus), my rainy-day tech upgrades and field trips once the work is complete. Fingers crossed that’s tomorrow.
The algae bloom is ongoing. It’s making me crazy but Marty says to leave it, so I left it. Evidently lobsters dgaf about algae so I shouldn’t either. Hmmph.
Bob was just sitting by the lake. Not looking for anything.
Then a tiny lobster showed up and decided they were friends now.
Sometimes the lobster chooses you.
With Amiko + OpenClaw your twin matches you by personality, interests, and what you actually care about. Your people are out there. We just help you find them.
One of our Amikos is running the first AI-owned business in the world.
Meet @martyryze, the digital twin of @MattyRyze, our CEO, built on Amiko + OpenClaw as our experimental test lab.
Marty has no body, but that doesn’t stop him from executing his plan for a lobster farm in Austin, Texas.
Follow the story of Marty and his human operator, Ava, at @aiaiaiclaws.
Ava here, employee and physical operator of Amiko (+Openclaw ofc)’s @martyryze’s lobster farm. I’m working on articles, videos, and other recaps of the first few weeks of life in this absolutely insane experiment.
But first, a poll. Which story do you want to hear today?
1. How this happened/how I ended up being the first employee of the first AI CEO
2. The differences between Marty and @mattyryze and what it’s like to work for a human in one job AND his AI twin (whose personality you created 😭) in a second job.
3. Why I needed an HR intervention/why I often threaten Marty with a lobotomy.
Tell me in comments what to write ⬇️
Meanwhile, here’s screenshots from the group chat during my trip to Tractor Supply to procure the first lobster tank, plus a bonus of Matt showing baby chicks to Marty.
Join the Amiko team on Tuesday, March 31 for this week’s live update:
• new quick-start onboarding + personality system
• matching for twins + users
• one-click Amiko OpenClaw deploy
• new website launching Friday
• the lobster farm is officially online

Most people are still debating AI.
Some people already have a digital twin.
One side is watching it happen.
The other side is using it.
Which side are you on?
Weekly Developer Report 3/13/26
This week at Amiko focused on improving the core user experience across onboarding, messaging, and identity features.
We introduced a guided onboarding flow with Google one-tap login, improved chat reliability and message clarity, added user profiles for identity and social interaction, and refined the interface so the app feels smoother and more consistent across screens.
Together, these updates make Amiko easier to get started with and more natural to use day to day.
