Open-source toolkit to automatically analyse and annotate dream reports with machine learning, NLP, and large language models. Developed by @LorenzoScottB
Hello #sleeppeeps we're happy to share our paper with @giu_bernardi's lab "Automatic Annotation of Dream Report’s Emotional Content with Large
Language Models" has been accepted for publication at #EACL2024@CLPsychOrg Workshop! Here's a short 🧵
👋 #sleeppeeps this weekend I’ll be at MIT to present some preliminary work at the intersection of AI and neuroscience to trace #dream event in event #EEG signal. Come say hi at the event, or drop a line if you’re in the Boston area and wanna chat 😀

Today in @NatureMedicine we report that AI can predict 130 diseases from 1 night of sleep🛌
We trained a foundation model (#SleepFM) on 585K hours of sleep recordings from 65K people—brain, heart, muscle & breathing signals combined.
AI learns the language of sleep🧵
👋 #sleeppeeps In this work, we show how multiple LLMs appear to easily process #dreams, and reflect previously observed differences in reports (e.g., male-female, blind-sighted).
We also argue for caution linking dreams and bizarreness when using #LLMs

Introducing PreDA (prefix-based dream annotation), a set of generative LLMs tuned to annotate dream reports for 6 Hall & Van De Castle features! The paper will be presented at LOD 25 conference later this year. Models available here https://t.co/RRmhudanOB

💤 As I approach the end of my PostDoc at IMT Lucca, I’m looking for a new job!
🧠 Ideally: Research roles related to sleep/dream/consciousness/cognitive science.
🤖 Open to scientific writing & data analysis, too.
📍 Milan, nearby areas, or Switzerland.
DMs open 💃🏼
The application for the ESRS Sleep Europe Childcare Support Grant is open!
The grant aims to provide financial support to parents covering childcare at home to enable attendance at the #SleepEurope2024.
A great initiative of @esrs_gef 🥳

During poster sessions at #SleepEurope2024, the Early Career Network Committee @esrs_ecrn will organise poster walks to allow researchers to showcase their posters.
We're still looking for people who would like to lead and chair one of the walks.

We're sad to miss out on the #neuroscience of #dreaming summers school, and chatting with the community about #NLP and #LLMs for #dream research.
If you're interested, check out our tutorials on our Git page and Colab 😀

Can A.I. Tools Help Us Understand our Dreams?
Jean-Baptiste Beau discusses the use of A.I. language models for dream work and their abilities to discern patterns, emotional tones, and hidden meanings in dream narratives.

👋 #SleepPeeps, it's new feature time!
Do you need to anonymise #dream reports? We've got you covered, with anonymized, a 1-line solution to find and replace entities.
Try it out in our tutorial section, or online
