@txhighdudgeon@AinsleyErzen Just bc transgender people are dealing with a lot and are victims of a lot of hate, it doesn’t mean we need to rewrite sports categories for them.
I will support transgender people in other ways. I will use their pronouns, chosen names, and treat them with dignity & respect.
@txhighdudgeon@AinsleyErzen If all sports were coed, men would hold the vast majority of spots in all sports.
Women's sports don't exist as a social preference. They exist because, w/o a protected category, bio female athletes wouldn't even get a chance to play.
The fairness argument is unassailable.
@txhighdudgeon@AinsleyErzen We can talk about both issues. Because fairness in sports also matters.
I know a high school girl who lost a state title due to a trans-girl who dominated. The unfairness was real and obvious to her. The ease at which the trans-girl won was a joke.
@txhighdudgeon@AinsleyErzen I agree that there is horrible sexual abuse. But that’s not the issue we are talking about.
By this logic, we shouldn't enforce traffic laws or fix potholes because murder exists. Pointing to a worse issue is just a red herring to avoid addressing the actual topic.

@txhighdudgeon@AinsleyErzen Let’s not change to a different issue. Focus on the issue at hand.
A report by the UN cited research claiming that over 600 female athletes have lost at least 890 medals to transgender competitors.
That’s 1 impact. There are more impacts like safety & privacy
@sapphicsamos In Massachusetts, they let straight high school boys play on the girl’s field hockey team. The state championship team in 2024 and 2025 had a dominant boy on the team. I don’t think that is fair either. It doesn’t matter if you are trans or not. It’s about biology.
@sapphicsamos A fact : if all sports were coed, men would hold every spot in pro sports including hockey, soccer, and basketball
Women's sports don't exist as a social preference—they exist because, without a protected category, female athletes wouldn't even get a chance to play.
@notthemessenger The proof is simple: if all sports were coed, men would hold every spot in pro hockey, soccer, basketball, tennis, and golf. Women's sports don't exist as a social preference—they exist because, without a protected category, female athletes wouldn't even get a chance to play.
@PastorDScott@JonnyRoot_ So you take a still shot after the foul had occurred. You know this doesn’t tell the whole story. You are willing to lie to defend your point. Pretty weak of you. Pretty soft of you.
@J_Kent4@YahooSports Caitlin Clark his bigger name recognition. Caitlin Clark brings in new viewers and increases attendance and tv ratings in a unique way in the WNBA. She is the face of the WNBA in that sense
@GravityTsla@bpjauburn@DanClarkSports Actually, instead of easily padding his stats off a position player pitching. He made it a fair fight by batting from the other side. It was good sportsmanship
@YahooSports Anonymous hate accounts don’t count. Nobody knows the agenda behind anonymous accounts. Accounts that are not anonymous should be called out for hate and racism. But how can anyone ever be offended by anonymous accounts. Anonymous accounts are meaningless.
