Question for anyone shipping AI tools. Are you doing anything yet to get quoted inside chatgpt and claude answers, or is it still normal seo and hoping for the best?
watching people migrate off fable 5 today mid-project, scrambling, let's be honest though that the tool you build on is going to change under you every quarter now. It's the audience that carries across all of it and that's basically the only moat left
where the AI products winning product hunt this month actually live:
- your keyboard
- your inbox
- the call you're already in
not one of them makes you open a new app, that's the whole strategy
I spoke to someone the other day who spent 2 weeks leaving genuinely helpful comments to warm up a subreddit before launch, and got shadowbanned on day 3, only to find out on day 12
it took me an embarrassingly long time to admit I was never unlucky with distribution. Writing code definitely feels like progress and that's the one that's the part that most vibe coders enjoy, not the blood sweat and tears part (I'm talking about distribution)
I went through everything that's topped Product Hunt this month and the pattern is almost funny in that not one of them asks you to open a new app. They live in your keyboard or your inbox or your docs and the cheapest distribution in 2026 is a surface someone's already touching a hundred times a day.
the worst bit of launching something is the silence. You can spend three months building onceand then you might see nothing happen. It takes people far too long to work out that the distribution shouldn't be put off
took me years to admit I was never unlucky with distribution. For me, writing code feels like progress and posting feels like begging, so I kept choosing whichever felt nicer and then wondering why nothing grew
