Drew Pavlou is an unmitigated disaster.
Never, ever forget that he is totally willing to do and say anything for attention.
I never thought it was possible for Queensland to produce a worse human in politics, but here we are.
A new nadir for the clout goblin.
Australian Greens Senator Jordan Steele-John has been known by the nickname “Feels on Wheels” for years. I had political staffers texting me this in 2024:
@Q2Quokka Too bad Garth is going to get rolled in 2028. I keep receipts and so does Rebecca Vonhoff, TRC Deputy Mayor who ran for LNP preselection in Groom in a 2020 by-election. The Libs were so desperate NOT to have a woman they parachuted Garth in. Now RV is a Teal & Garth is toast.
@aaronsmith Nobody seems to ask where all the onshore gas actually is. It's under Gippsland and the Otways, which are mostly National Parks. They are also tinderboxes, so mining for gas would be fraught with danger as well as calamitous for wildlife.
They can't frack or extract Coal Seam Gas
@IxatDnats@aaronsmith No. The Liberals are on course to win about the same amount of seats as before. Whatever they take from Labor, they'll lose to One Nation. The Nationals will probably be wiped out. It will be a hung parliament, with either a Lib-Nat-ON alliance or a Labor-Green alliance.
@DavidHappyHammo@AusPoll6 Yeah, free Dental, free Public Transport, more affordable housing, climate action, government integrity, rent freezes, public energy ownership, renewables, corporate taxes and keeping our iconic flora and fauna safe from extinction are terrible policies.
More coal & white incels!
@NotTurnbull They did win 4, but lost Northcote by 0.4%, Preston by 4.2%, Pascoe Vale by 4% & Footscray by 8.4%, while Albert Park was a close 3CP.
Given the Greens are benefactors to part of Labor's declining popularity, these seats are favoured to tighten.
5 seats very likely, 9 possible.
@_Stevee_@DrewPavlou Don't spend time wondering what Drew's motives are. He exists to get attention and his whole personality is currently attracting the ugliest, most awful incels on the internet. And a tonne of bots. He has struck a goldmine, comparatively, by selling his soul.
@grahmggg@BenPennings I have never met a Greens voter who didn't support Palestine and I have met a LOT of Greens voters.
Don't overthink it. People who are not politically engaged will change their vote for the strangest reasons. Greens volunteers change people's minds at the booth all the time.
@mandymettle You should have thanked Avi Yemeni for his massive own goal in forcing Labor to change electoral laws - finally - so that micro parties with preference deals can no longer get elected without legitimate preferences.
@john430729@aus_fella The Liberals refused to preselect all their most promising young women and now they are Climate 200 candidates and MPs. If Jess wasn't wedded to the Liberals by being parachuted into Kew, would she be biding her time planning a run as an Independent? Probably.
@CapeFear01@yelworcar They are too stupid to understand that Antifa stands for Anti-Fascist. If you're not Anti-Fascist, you're a far-right loser bedwetter who masturbates to Mein Kampf and hide your Swastika tough stickers from view.
@clearticulation Be careful what you wish for. In QLD, the LNP are planning to introduce optional preferential voting, which is undemocratic & cynical.
But you have options, so go ahead & put the microparties ahead of Labor. Just put Liberal, Nationals and One Nation last.
Bound to be some 🤡🤡
