Partnered w/ @RepTroyCarter to highlight the disproportionate burden of prostate cancer on the Black community, urging Congress to pass #PSAforHim in @Urban1Media's Engaging Black America Special Supplement, proudly supported by @ACSCAN & released today. https://t.co/XSDgeNjqWW
#PSAforHIM is not just about access. It legislatively changes the USPSTF recommendations, which should change provider behavior. Access means nothing if doctors still tell high risk men they are too young to get screened. Glad that @ACSCAN @AmerCancerCEO is moving this forward!
When prostate cancer is found in its advanced stages, the likelihood of survival is 32%. When detected in early stages, the 5-year survival rate is nearly 100%. Through #PSAforHIM and more access to screening, there’s hope for Black men and for all individuals at high risk.
As a doctor, I know that one key to successful treatment is early detection – especially for serious diseases like prostate cancer. Today, I introduced the PSA Screening for HIM Act, which will increase access to screening for those who need it most. https://t.co/2S422SOZaB
.@ACSCAN supports the PSA Screening for HIM Act because all men at high-risk for prostate cancer who decide to move forward with screening after a discussion with their health care provider should have access to screening that is barrier-free without cost sharing.
The U.S. House introduced the Prostate-Specific Antigen Screening for High-risk Insured Men Act! The bipartisan bill requires private insurance companies to cover #ProstateCancer screenings w/ no out-of-pocket costs to everyone at high risk of the disease. https://t.co/CpteAv4OQ8
We are glad to hear @senbobcasey has an excellent prognosis and wish him, his family and everyone fighting prostate cancer all the best. Early diagnosis for any illness is vital and for prostate cancer it is crucial. Talk to your doctor or medical provider about getting screened.
.@DendreonNews is proud to partner with @CancerABCs & @realgranthill33 to encourage men to #startstrong by educating themselves & understanding all their treatment options, including immunotherapy, when battling advanced prostate cancer. Listen to Grant & Joel's discussion below:

Dendreon applauds the @WhiteHouse's reigniting of the Cancer Moonshot Initiative. We join the call to action for greater access and attention to cancer screenings and early detection, and we'll work with our Prostate cancer advocacy partners to advance these objectives. @POTUS
Hi @CoxHelp could you help us get these wires removed from our yard? They are very low (within child’s reach) and we don’t have Cox. Help is appreciated!
Prostate cancer expert Dr. Lowentritt shares the latest findings in immunotherapy and stresses the importance of screening and early detection in fighting this disease. https://t.co/fbdE0eMLP2
@VBCancerCare Most Favored Nation has a flat $148 add on payment. That is not enough to compensate healthcare practitioners for all they do to find, coordinate, and administer cell based and gene therapies.
@VBCancerCare Let me clarify, the manufactures support many Part D patients through copay foundations but there is a huge unmet need. I think many manufacturers would fill more of the coverage gap if they felt they could w/o negative consequences.
