@peter_dalton I share your plight - I have had the same experience, and it's frustrating. Google's quality has dropped significantly. However, despite what the landscape is telling you, you *do* have options you can pursue. DM me - I'd love to talk sometime.

@peter_dalton I tried out some models. First I tried thinking of ideas on my own. Then I asked it to give me ideas. My own writings were better.

Study the impacts. No one needs AI - in fact it makes us suck. Please try something else, like code/workshop sessions with fellow developers.

@peter_dalton Even using a local and ethical model, at best it creates a risk of dependency / doesn't encourage you to think for yourself. Instant gratification has a hidden cost.

Any idea it spits out originally came from a human. Thus, we're a much better source of guidance or inspiration.
