You can tell Chelsea have an inferiority complex when it comes to Arsenal. For all those trophies, they still don’t have the biggest fanbase in London, their fans have zero emotional connection to the club and they had barely any history pre-2005 or cultural impact
@timstillman_@afc_richard Any reason they couldn’t move Liverpool-Palace, West Ham-Everton, or Wolves-Spurs instead? I realize we’re probably a bigger draw, but all those matches have Europe or relegation implications.
@afc_richard I agree, but the women playing Sunday should also be on the table. There is precedent from last season where the women played Lyon on 27 April, one day after the Lyon men played on the 26th.
@scottjwillis I wrote a comment in that article saying this wouldn’t be a discussion if Ramsdale wasn’t English. Raya seems to be clear in almost every underlying metric, and even if behind in Save % the team faces very little shots so his distribution far outweighs that.
@adamvoge @mixedkidremix I wouldn’t hate it being Poch. He’d have some big decisions to make with an aging Kane and Son that I’m not sure he’s willing to do.
@adamvoge @mixedkidremix I did just from following Celtic, but agree it’s wild! There’s probably a stigma attached to him in England given he’s Australian and the recent years in Japan, but he’d be a fantastic hire for any team wanting to truly invest in a project. Hope he stays at Celtic though.
@afcDW Not buying that. Newcastle away is looking very tough, and Everton might be fighting for their lives that final week as well. Every week is a potential banana peel.
