It sounds less intrusive on the surface, but here is the truth about what that actually means, because most people are being completely misled by that marketing:

A cryptographic token isn't a magic, anonymous poker chip. To work, a token has to be anchored to something verified. That means your physical device, your phone carrier contract, or your real identity is permanently tethered to that token.
Every single time your phone throws that token to let you log into an app, it logs exactly who you are, where you are, and what you're doing.

Maybe he looked at the rest of the money. Trump disclosed between $220 million and $750 million in securities transactions, officially managed by third parties.

Donald Trump Jr backed 1789 Capital grew beyond $1 billion while companies in its portfolio benefited from his father’s policy changes.

A presidential family repeatedly profiting beside government action is exactly the corruption risk functioning democracies are supposed to prevent.

Maybe he discovered what his father has done to American democracy.

He pardoned around 1,500 people charged over the January 6 attack, including people convicted of assaulting police.

His administration used federal power against at least 470 perceived enemies, including prosecutors, civil servants, universities, law firms and media organisations.

Courts repeatedly found parts of his campaign against the press unconstitutional. V Dem says the United States lost its status as a liberal democracy in 2025 after its democracy score collapsed by 24%, falling from 20th to 51st place globally.

Maybe he noticed how his father treats allies like servants and dictators like role models.

He called Zelensky a dictator, falsely blamed Ukraine for Russia’s invasion, accepted Putin’s assurances more readily than warnings from American allies and pressured Ukraine to surrender territory while Russia continued bombing civilians.

He threatened tariffs against 8 European allies until Denmark agreed to sell Greenland, damaged NATO cohesion and turned American reliability into a punchline.

Maybe he looked at Iran.

His father abandoned the 2015 nuclear agreement, then joined Israel in launching the war on February 28, 2026.

Thousands died.

Thousands.

The Strait of Hormuz was effectively closed.

More than 14 million barrels of daily oil production disappeared, jet fuel prices doubled, and the costs of fuel, food and fertiliser rose worldwide.

Now, after months of destruction, Trump is accepting a fragile agreement that delays the nuclear issue and may achieve less than the deal he destroyed in 2018.

Billions of people paid more because he replaced diplomacy with ego and bombing.

Maybe he opened the Epstein files and learned that his father flew on Epstein’s private jet 8 times according to a prosecutor’s email, maintained a documented social relationship with him and now leads an administration that only 10% of Americans believe has delivered justice in the Epstein case.

Maybe he saw people calling his mother a prostitute and found the old, retracted allegation behind it.

Maybe he finally understood that his family has dragged public life so deep into a sewer of corruption, propaganda, crypto extraction, political revenge, authoritarian worship and permanent scandal that millions no longer know where the documented truth ends and the next grotesque allegation begins.

Or maybe he was simply tired.

Community consultations are absolutely critical, but the choice facing the Prime Minister is clear. Premier Ford is in the middle of a land grab, and the federal government has both the power and the responsibility to stop this irresponsible and anti-democratic move.

The fact that Doug Ford seized the land from the City of Toronto in order to ram through a project owned and operated by American banking giant JP Morgan tells you all you need to know about who will benefit from his plan.

Prime Minister Carney ran on a promise to protect Canadians from Donald Trump and stand up for Canadian sovereignty. He cannot sit on the fence while Doug Ford hands more power to Wall Street.

Like Ontario Place, the Science Centre, and so much more, Doug Ford is acting as though Toronto is a playground for him and his CEO friends. It isn't. Toronto belongs to the people, and the people don't need or want the jets, noise, traffic, and pollution that this massive expansion would bring.

Doug Ford ran on protecting Ontario from American threats.

Then he handed Toronto’s waterfront to JP Morgan.

Nieuport Aviation, controlled by America’s largest bank, owns the Billy Bishop terminal. They bought it for $750 million and have been losing money ever since. So Ford introduced legislation to seize Toronto’s own land, override the city, and deliver the airport expansion JP Morgan needs to make its investment whole.

One of the lobbyists pushing this deal? A former senior Ford aide. The revolving door didn’t even slow down.

The Building Billy Bishop Act lets Ford expropriate almost all of the Toronto Islands. City officials warn it means gridlock, pollution, and harbour degradation. Nobody asked for this. The only winner is a New York bank.
