@ILoveCalebW18@starfish4bigred@Ivantheboomer@thechosenberg To be fair that’s a tough time and many in their situation, man and woman, probably have dark thoughts like that. But your thoughts in tough times aren’t typically recorded forever…
What’s with this rewriting of history? The trope at the time was that hipsters listened to obscure bands no one else has heard of, and all of these bands would have been too mainstream
Hipster music would be LCD Soundsystem, Animal Collective, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The xx, The Strokes, The Shins, Modest Mouse, Passion Pit, Fleet Foxes, Phoenix, Beach House, The National, TV on the Radio, Deerhunter, and some others.
@PigsAndPlans You’ve misquoted her here, she didn’t call herself a republican, she said she can’t believe she’s been cancelled for being a republican (which she’s not), big distinction
M.I.A. is suing Kid Cudi for more than $2.8 million after being kicked off his tour, alleging she was removed to generate publicity and boost ticket sales.
The lawsuit claims M.I.A. was contractually allowed full creative control over her set, and says Cudi’s statement about her making “offensive remarks” was “riddled with falsehoods.”
She is seeking the $2.8M in guaranteed tour pay, plus punitive damages and legal fees.
