If you genuinely believe that the National Unity Platform infringed upon the rights of journalists, it is imperative that you present concrete evidence to substantiate your claims.

NUP is currently facing daily attacks from various quarters, including law enforcement, the judiciary, media outlets, and government-affiliated groups. As a journalist, it is vital that you carefully articulate your position in light of the circumstances at hand, rather than expressing emotional reactions devoid of factual basis.

Regarding the investigation conducted by NUP, they have interviewed witnesses and requested video evidence related to the alleged incidents, yet nothing has been provided thus far. It is unclear what actions you expected the Party to take or how the purported security personnel could be held accountable without sufficient evidence. To date, no visual or video evidence has been presented to substantiate claims of journalists being assaulted or their equipment damaged.

As a journalist, we urge you Mr. Canary to engage with your colleagues, gather photographic evidence of the alleged equipment damage, interview eyewitnesses, and refrain from using social media platforms to vilify the entire party without substantial evidence to support these serious allegations.
