That said, it does appear that Bezos's "slow and steady" approach of step-by-step advancement, instead of SpaceX's of speed is paramount, has been generally discredited
The idea was that there would be fewer incidents like these and steady progress towards reusable rockets by going as slow as it took to do it right the first time, rather than pouring resources into making innovation and advancement happen quickly, as is done at SpaceX
So the number of hours worked aren't as high, the pace of innovation and experimentation is less frenetic, the goals are more realistic, etc.

I think there's a great lesson in that outcome, one that Trump and Co. would do well to heed as the fight over ICE tactics heats up again. It's best to just go for it, and try to win quickly. Slow and steady will just mean slowness, if it happens at all. Stagnation is more likely, as such an outlook allows for it.
