I was randomly thinking, why can’t Netflix or Prime shoot a documentary for Jay Jay Okocha?

In fact, I have watched a mini documentary SKY did for Okocha. They called it “The inside story of Jay-Jay Okocha’s transfer from PSG to Bolton Wanderers🇳🇬”.

I tell you for a fact, it is one of the best things I’ve watched.

Okocha has stories for days, from playing in the NPFL with Enugu Rangers to traveling to Germany on holidays, accompanying his friend who was a footballer, then trialling with the club and getting a move.

I already have the script in my head. Okocha’s story deserves 3 episodes minimum. Oliver Kahn will be on the documentary to talk about that goal, Okpara will be there. Some of the players from the ‘94 AFCON and ‘96 Olympics will appear in the series. Ronaldinho will come and tell us how Okocha taught him some skills. His Bolton team mates.

In fact, the relationship with Sam Allardyce is an episode on its own, he has stories for days. All those nuggets he even gave recently on Mikel Obi’s podcast, these are different scenes. We just need to work with Bundesliga, Turkish FF, FFF, NFF, Premier League, to get footages.

Okocha should have a Netflix Documentary, and the title should be, “So Good, They named him twice”.

Dear football,

Today, I want to share with you that this season will be my last as a professional footballer. After so many years living my dream, I feel it’s time to start a new chapter in my life.

Being honest, even though I have been preparing myself for this moment, I found it hard to write this letter. After 20 seasons , many people have played an important role in my career.

When I first kicked a ball as a child in Pamplona with my schoolmates, I never imagined the amazing journey ahead. I’m grateful for every moment: the wins, the tough losses, the challenges, and most of all, the people I’ve met and the friendships I’ve made along the way.

To my teammates, coaches, and every staff member at all the clubs I’ve been lucky to be part of, thank you for helping me grow as a person and a player every day.
