Touching children inappropriately is often normalised and dismissed as “chalta hai”.
But this is actually CSA, a punishable offence. Aur yeh “nahi chalega” under the Protection of Children from Se*ual Offences (POCSO) Act.
This April, as we observe SAAM, we are building awareness around the POCSO Law, its provisions and the different forms of sexual abuse it addresses. Through this, we aim to bring attention to what is considered CSA under the law, including what qualifies as inappropriate touching (galat tareeke se choona) and the consequences offenders will face.

In our last video, where we spoke about touching a child inappropriately under the POCSO Act, we were asked an important question:
“Bachchon ko galat tareeke se dekhna bhi jurm hai kya?”

The answer is - Se*ual pleasure ke liye bacche ko galat intention se dekhna jurm hai, hai as per POCSO Act. So what does this include?

"Watching a child while they change clothes."
"Seeing or showing one's own or a child's private parts."
"Repeatedly following or stalking a child."
All these actions are punishable by the POCSO law with 3 years of jail term. So, kisi bhi bacche ko galat nazar se dekha toh #POCSOPakadLega.

In our support of the #SAAM campaign, as we delve deeper into the POCSO law, the specific CSA crimes and the legal consequences join us in spreading the awareness.

@oyorooms checked into DayInn Chennai & received notification to get refreshed with Oyo kit which wasn't there. No response on reception call, had to go down to ask for it. No towels either. Come on guys I got your Wizard subscription & this is the service i get!
