Habibi, not the best day, several friends, and well-meaning young Ugandans have been arrested for simply saying NO TO CORRUPTION and marching against it.

But, in the midst of all that went on, we also saw the spirit of patriotism. Several Ugandans went to court to stand sureties for people there’ve never met. Lawyers offered legal services for people they were seeing for the first time and without expecting a cent in return! Young medical interns carried their medical boxes to offer legal services, and hundreds of people sent money to @AAgather to help total strangers.

Yet, the @JudiciaryUG, @ODPPUGANDA, and @PoliceUg made sure they stand between young Ugandans just demanding for an end to the brazen corruption; tens have been remanded till the 30th, 31st, July and 5th of August. Mothers wailed at the sight of their children boarding the dreaded maroon bus, but nothing can stop a group of humans who mean to perpetuate evil! So, the bad guys got their way!

Still, we thank all those those that did whatever they could, wherever they were to stand up for Uganda. May history be kind to you!
