When you realize this, goals start to serve you rather than the reverse...
Live the type of life you want to live, *then* identify a goal in line with that.
Even if you "fall short" of the goal, you're still living the life you want to live...
And that's the ultimate win.

It’s wild how casually people suggest running a marathon.
Like it’s just the next step. Like if you can run a few kilometers, you can just “push through” 42K and see what happens.
But a marathon doesn’t really work like that.
As a coach, I’ve seen what happens when people skip the build-up. It’s not just a tough day… it’s the weeks after. The injuries, the burnout, the feeling that running just isn’t for them anymore.
The distance doesn’t care how motivated you are. It responds to preparation.
And the frustrating part is, most people don’t fail because they’re not capable. They fail because they were told they didn’t need the time to get ready.
Running a marathon is a great goal.
Rushing into it usually isn’t.
Record broken! 🥇
Sunday's London Marathon broke the record for the largest number of finishers in a marathon 👏
