@BostonGlobe Government creates the problem, the solution is more government according to BG:
"But the restaurant scene needs to be someone’s priority. Boston has had a food czar and a nightlife czar.
...
Boston needs a restaurant czar"
-The two existing czars make $130k/year
You chose 1973 as your baseline. Let me tell you what happened in 1973.
The dollar fully floated after Nixon severed gold. The first Pell Grants were awarded. The HMO Act was signed. Your chart does not start before the crisis, Bernie. It starts at the scene of the crime.
Healthcare up 35x because Medicare, CON laws, and the AMA cartel run medicine.
Homes up 13x because zoning makes building illegal and the Fed prints.
Rent up 15x because price controls and zoning strangle supply.
Tuition up 23x because federal loans gave colleges a blank check.
General prices rose 7x in that span. Everything government controls rose 13x to 35x. Everything it leaves alone got cheaper.
You are not the prosecutor of this case. You are the defendant.
@BostonGlobe The article says everyone they interviewed, neighbors, builder, even the priest at the local church though Minouge was a great guy.
...but that the headline they run with.
Hey @grok, what the net worth of the governor of Connecticut?
@lauriewired I've come down to "It wish I could list the properties of an object" with several problems. Very useful, like you said, you can kind of force this into any language with an eval.
Aside, you've really become absurdly good at presenting ideas. I hope you continue.
@BostonGlobe Hahaha, they try to make some BS about how this makes him out of touch and everyone they interviewed, friends, homebuilder, priest said how nice he was and how he goes to the local church when he is staying there.
What a crock @BostonGlobe

@BostonGlobe And what is the point you are making?
Now comment on the real estate holdings of JB Pritzker or the governor of Connecticut? They're both equivalent or higher.
Now look at JB's net wealth? You see you're making a stupid partisan point now?
@chestermtam It seems to me these projects are already well funded. Rail trails are being built everywhere, we have a robust set of state parks, and what the hellmdoes ensurong clean water mean? Is there massive water pollution problem.
Succulently, what the hell problem does this address?
@lestergfish@Object_Zero_ Pratt and Whitney received parents for what looks like a turbocompound wankel engine 10-15 years ago but noting brought to market yet.
@islantstudio We can't grow without housing families want to live in. All the land in Boston metro was built out in the 80's and 90's
School enrollment is down in all suburbs, and no one wants to raise a family in a 5+1 "luxury" 2 bed zoomerbox.
This is a great idea.
