@NielsRogge@leerob Saving this one. Tip for hour-long lectures like this: watch once at 1.25x for the big picture, then rewatch only the parts you couldn't explain to a friend, and sketch the agent's wake/act/check-in loop on paper as he draws it. That's what makes it stick.
New in the DubTab desktop app (v1.1.2):
• Slide the caption background to zero for classic outlined subtitles
• Hide the toolbar so only captions stay on screen, handy for screen shares
• Translate just one app's sound, so music and notifications stay out
Windows + Mac.
@AyoBankole The lectures ending is when the real class starts. The best courses on earth are free on YouTube now, so access isn't the bottleneck anymore; finishing is. Pick one course, block one hour a day, and take notes like there's an exam at the end 📓
Pra base do zero em PT, o canal do Mairo Vergara é ótimo; pra pronúncia, English with Lucy. Constância > maratona 💪
@LaidBackTeaTime Worldwide Hime unlocked without asking 😭 If you'd rather keep your real voice: Studio > Settings > Upload defaults > Advanced settings > untick "Allow automatic dubbing". For this VOD, its Languages tab lets you unpublish the dub.
@DotliveC YouTube really heard Setsuna and thought "needs an English AI voice" 😭 Settings > Audio track > the original one fixes it, though you'll probably be doing that on every video for a while.
@ADITYAK37929458 Honest answer: a) for the concepts, then a messy real dataset to make it stick. Paid courses make sense once you know exactly what you're missing. And d) is where good intentions go to die 😅
@patypromo Aprende sim!
@celineodier The step worth adding after captions: a second caption track in another language. Same edit, zero extra filming, and the video suddenly works for everyone who'd have scrolled past the English.
Weekend course pick: Harvard's CS50P (Python). Free, no experience needed.
For: anyone starting Python.
Gap: fast English lectures.
Tip: watch once, then rewatch with code open, pausing after each example.
DubTab adds live subtitles in your language.
