Marsabit County has been affected by prolonged drought attributed to five failed rain seasons resulting in rise in food insecurity and worsening malnutrition situation which adversely affected vulnerable members of the Community including under five years children, pregnant and lactating women.
This survey will provide scientific, evidenced based and verifiable information that will guide the County in decision making, in regards to implementation of health, nutrition and food security programs in the County.
@ledamalekina@IG_NPS This is reckless statement Sen.Ledama https://t.co/KpsN363YuY are fueling ethnic conflicts in Marsabit. Why shouldn't you be held liable for any retaliatory attack on adversely mentioned ethnic group by you?
We must leave no one behind in the fight against malnutrition. Incorporating gender and social inclusion approaches & ensuring the meaningful participation of young people, women, and people living with disabilities is critical. #NutritionSymposiumKe#EradicateMalnutritionKE
The Cholera situation in Moyale Sub-County as at today - We have 21 Confirmed Cases, 3 deaths,CFR 14%. Public Health Interventions are also on-going in all the wards and we have so far sensitized 50HCWs on Cholera.
The speed at which Marsabit @GovMohamudAli respond to emergencies in his county is an impressive mark of leadership and generosity. In less than 4 hours the Gov. Visited three wards, distributed foods for flood victims of DF, Walda and Bubisa and accessed damages caused by floods
We have also done delivery of Cholera Supplies to Dabel which is an affected area with ONE(1) Suspected Cholera Case in Isolation and 3 diarrheal cases in the ward.
Good Work to the entire Rapid Response Team headed by the Director Public Health.
Preventing, detecting, and treating wasting in children is crucial for child survival and well-being.
We can and must turn the nutrition crisis for children around.
