MUTSVANGWA UTTERANCES XENOPHOBIC - George Mkwananzi
The veiled xenophobic utterances of Christopher Mutswangwa he made last week about Ndebeles being foreigners in Zimbabwe were pronounced by Energy Mutodi in 2019. This clearly shows that these are not just random outbursts, they constitute the essence of Zanu-PF philosophy which is unfortunately shared by many Shona speakers.
What Ziyambi Ziyambi said about Gukurahundi being nothing (not a genocide) but a mere political conflict has been said numerous times before by many of his kind including the late Dictator Robert Mugabe.
The problem is that we have incubated this embedded xenophobia and ethnic intolerance for too long. These sentiments explain the consistency of Shona tribal exclusion of Ndebele people and continue to shape their daily attitudes towards them. Unless Ndebele people fight to restore their pre-colonial statehood, they will (like Israelis before 1948) never know peace. They will run to South Africa thinking that their Nguni and Sotho cousins there will welcome them but only to be met with ABAHAMBE chants. Until and unless Ndebele people accept the reslity that their country is Matabeleland (not Zimbabwe or South Africa), they will continue to exist as stateless beings under the sun.

While zviganandas are preoccupied with the CAB3 debate, this is the reality facing many of our fellow citizens in Cape Town.
Ordinary Zimbabweans continue to suffer while the powerful and the wealthy are allegedly busy donating cars and cash to ensure that the proposed constitutional amendment is not challenged.
With the 30 June deadline for certain foreign nationals to leave South Africa fast approaching, many Zimbabweans are stranded without the means to return home. As winter tightens its grip, the harsh weather is making an already desperate situation even worse.
Perhaps it is time to focus less on political power struggles and more on the plight of ordinary citizens.

Darwin Núñez and Uruguay were held to a 2-2 draw by Cape Verde in a thrilling FIFA World Cup Group H encounter. Cape Verde, making their World Cup debut, produced another exceptional performance, following up their shock draw against Spain with a spirited display against the South Americans. Their resilience, organization, and belief have made them one of the tournament's early stories.
Cape Verde now head into their final group match against Saudi Arabia knowing that a victory could secure a historic place in the knockout stage, depending on the outcome of the other Group H fixture. For a nation appearing at the World Cup for the first time, such an achievement would be remarkable.
Mercenaries of the pen are allegedly everywhere in Zimbabwe. Many appear willing to serve the interests of the highest bidder or the most powerful individuals. This past weekend, Mr. Tungwarara allegedly offered a substantial sum of money and a Toyota Land Cruiser in exchange for an apology from Rutendo Matinyarare to the First Family. He also allegedly requested that Matinyarare refrain from criticizing the family in his future communications. Matinyarare allegedly accepted both the offer and its conditions.
This phenomenon is not new. It can be traced back to the emergence of groups such as Varakashi, which allegedly helped normalize the practice of using financial incentives and patronage to influence public discourse. The growing perception that opinions and loyalties can be bought openly raises serious questions about the independence, credibility, and integrity of public commentary in Zimbabwe.
@paultungwarara Much appreciated Dr and I have taken heed of your words. I will not bring the President, First Lady and first family into political debates in future.
Everyone is for sale. Everything is for sale. The country is for sale. Patriotism is for sale. If it's for sale then money will buy it. @matinyarare enjoy the ride. Sadly the potholes will slow you down.
Professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba adds his voice against #CAB3. He laughs at how a government that professes to be serving the people runs away from the same people by refusing elections. He says "you cannot cure the difficulties of democracy by amputating the will of the people." He pours scorn over claims by 2030ists that "elections are toxic" and hamper development. He argues that the only "toxic thing in Zimbabwe" that hampers development "is a ruling elite that uses violence to silence the people".
• Zimbabweans are very clear, it’s an absolute no to 2030
• An unequivocal no to CAB3 .
• Zimbabwe belongs to Zimbabweans not an individual.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in what he is saying in this audio. What is more important is that journalism of blackmail must come to an end. Nobody should be threatened with evidence. If you have it release it. Why use it as a weapon?
It turns out that it was not editorial fiction, my brother. Nelson Chamisa did actually give the interview to the Daily News, which recorded it. After I and many others challenged the Daily News, it has now released part of the recording and says it will soon upload the full interview.
Ironically, the Daily News actually published only the milder comments from him in the original story. It now turns out that he went much further and directly attacked people by name. In this audio, you can hear him criticising Jameson Timba for leading people against Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3.
This is why transparency matters in both journalism and politics. When there is a dispute over what was said, evidence must speak for itself.
Now the serious question that anybody opposed to the violation of the Constitution is asking is this: why is Nelson Chamisa attacking people who are fighting against Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3?
And why did he go onto his timeline two days ago and claim that the Daily News story was fiction and that he never said those things, when the audio now shows that he actually said far more than what was originally published?
The emerging evidence now raises serious credibility and political questions. If he disagreed with those opposing Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3, he had every right to say so openly. But denying the interview entirely, only for recorded audio to emerge later, is what is now deepening public concern and confusion.
In politics, credibility matters. Once leaders begin denying things that are later proven to be true, people naturally begin questioning what else they may not be telling the public honestly.
The failure by the Zimbabwean government to properly vet individuals meeting President Cyril Ramaphosa did not only embarrass itself and President Mnangagwa — it also placed President Ramaphosa in an awkward and uncomfortable position. South African officials now have to contain the fallout from what has become a serious public relations nightmare.
This was not merely a systems failure. It was the result of arrogance and drunkenness with power. ZANU PF has long operated with the belief that it can do anything without consequences. For decades, the party has survived scandal after scandal while the region and international community looked away.
They got away with Gukurahundi atrocities. They got away with the violence surrounding the 2002 elections. The entire period leading up to the 2008 elections was drenched in brutality, intimidation, and repression, culminating in the horrific violence ahead of the presidential runoff election.
Each time, there was no condemnation and without meaningful action. Silence and tolerance emboldened the culture of impunity. Today’s embarrassment is simply another symptom of a political system that has never truly been held accountable.
🔸It’s giving Herald. You know you’ve cooked up a mess with disgruntled players and a coach that has just quit. Is this your definition of a steady ship?
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
.@ProfJNMoyo wants me to explain to him in detail why I say #NoToCAB3. I don’t really have time to engage him individually, but if there’s sufficient interest from all of you, I’ll find time.
So if we can get 1k RTs, I’ll do a series of posts/videos explaining each issue. Deal?
Dr. Tagwirei shamed individuals who speak ill of President ED Mnangagwa. He stated that President ED Mnangagwa is the one who proclaims blessings upon this country.
