We just received a copy of President Bola Tinubu’s (@officialABAT) filing from just two business days ago. Not surprisingly, President Tinubu has now formally joined @TheJusticeDept’s request for a 10-day extension, which the judge has now swiftly denied.

We surmise that President #Tinubu wants to use any delay to call upon his friends in DC to argue that the release of these files would harm U.S.-Nigeria relations and undermine his ability to work with the United States to combat terrorism and the killing of Christians in Northern Nigeria.

We believe that any U.S. government personnel who improperly attempt to interfere with the judicial or FOIA process on behalf of #Nigerian President #Tinubu to prevent the lawful release of these records should be exposed and fired.

President @realDonaldTrump and the United States do not protect individuals alleged by the DOJ to have been part of a criminal organization that smuggled heroin into the United States.

Those Seeking to be Addressed as “His Excellency” Must Behave Excellently

Yesterday, I joined other presidential candidates to sign the first National Peace Accord for the 2027 Presidential Elections.

My signing of the accord is a reinforcement of my continued commitment to insisting that we, as candidates, must conduct ourselves in a way that reflects the office we aspire to. Leaders must eschew all forms of violent rhetoric and rein in their followers to do the same.

The next elections must be strictly based on the issues that matter to Nigerians: unity, insecurity, pulling people out of poverty, reducing the number of out-of-school children, and restoring hope to the long-suffering people of our country.

Our supporters must see that we have all committed to free, fair, and credible elections based on issues and devoid of rancour.

Those of us wishing to be addressed as “His Excellency” must behave excellently, and, more importantly, the process of attaining public office must be excellent.

We take very seriously the commitment of INEC to free, fair, and credible elections, as well as the pledge by law enforcement agencies to remain unbiased throughout the electioneering process.

I call on my supporters to remain firm, determined, and peaceful.

Our Children Deserve Enhanced Learning Environments.

Today, May 21st, I had the opportunity to visit Practising Primary School in Agulu, my hometown, which has been a cornerstone of education since its establishment in 1922. Unfortunately, the school suffered significant damage from a fire last year, resulting in the loss of a historical building that had educated generations.

During a previous visit, I committed to supporting the school's reconstruction and to helping create a modern, supportive environment for the students.

This morning, I was pleased to return and deliver an initial amount of 10 million Naira to help initiate the rebuilding process. Education is a crucial investment for any community, and restoring schools is essential for renewing hope and ensuring a brighter future.

I also took the time to engage with the students, encouraging them to take their education seriously. Their future will be shaped by the discipline, effort, and dedication they demonstrate today.

Dear Distinguished Leaders, Esteemed Party Executives, Delegates, Stakeholders, Youths, Women Leaders, and Faithful Members of our great party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC),

With a heart filled with gratitude, humility, and a profound sense of responsibility, I sincerely appreciate every one of you for the confidence and trust reposed in me through my election and confirmation as the Deputy National Chairman (South West) of our great party.

I consider this mandate not merely as a personal achievement, but as a collective victory for all progressive minds committed to the growth, unity, and advancement of the Nigeria Democratic Congress across the South West region and beyond.

I am deeply honored by the overwhelming support, encouragement, and solidarity shown to me throughout this journey. Your belief in my leadership capacity strengthens my resolve to serve diligently and wholeheartedly for the progress of our party and the betterment of our people.

I wish to specially appreciate our revered national leaders, founding members, state executives, delegates, coordinators, youth and women wings, and all loyal party faithful whose sacrifices, prayers, and commitment made this success possible. Your dedication to the ideals of democracy, justice, and people-centered leadership remains the backbone of our great party.

As I assume this important responsibility, I make a solemn commitment to serve with the highest level of integrity, accountability, transparency, fairness, and expertise. Today, I held meetings in London with some stakeholders in British politics and business community, including Lord Jonathan Marland, the Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).

The discussion with Lord Marland held particular importance as it centred on prospective trade opportunities, economic advancement, and the promotion of small businesses throughout Nigeria.

It is clear that fostering a robust economy and generating employment, as evidenced by rapidly growing nations like China, Indonesia, and Vietnam, necessitates a concerted effort to prioritise support for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

As I have consistently asserted, our micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) serve as the driving force behind economic growth, and it is imperative that we provide them with vigorous support to enhance development and create significant employment opportunities, particularly within the agriculture and manufacturing sectors.
