@neheritagelib A retrospective planning application has now been submitted to attempt to justify the demolition, and is currently open for public comment - if anyone can share valuable information about the history and significance of the kiln, then please let the council know.
@PaulWhitewick@martin_0401@MrRobBell@MrTimDunn The brick kiln in question is (or rather, sadly, was), the one photographed here: https://t.co/rdxIVGdBW2 by @neheritagelib - I'm interested to know how rare this structure was. Are there others like it in the country, and if so, how many... or was it a more unique design?
Right next door is this kiln from a brickworks which operated in the 1850s. The main building was just to its left but there’s no trace of it. I presume this is used as shelter for livestock nowadays.
Hello Twitter! I wonder if you can help me… I’m looking for an expert on Victorian-era brick kilns to answer some questions about one in my area (North-East England). Does anyone know of anyone who might be able to help?

Can we not make the onside kick such that the kicker and their team line up on the 40, the receiving team line up on the 60, nobody can move until the ball does, and the ball must go 10 yards? It would make it much more interesting @NFL
