@tuuu28283 Fun thing about Japanese and English. I heard the word for rice and the word for a meal are the same in Japanese, I thought that was strange. Then I realized meal also means any ground grain in English.

@wylfcen The origin of plata is super interesting though. A general association with fatness, because when you make it you end up with little beads of silver that have to be hammered together into a disc. Physicality in etymology.
